FAQ

  • Over many years of operation, the team of translators at the Tlumach Translation Bureau has mastered a wide range of textual fields and subjects. For translations requiring specialized expertise, we engage subject-matter specialists with in-depth knowledge of the relevant industries. This ensures accurate, technically precise translations that fully satisfy our clients. Tlumach Translation Bureau provides translations in the following subject areas:
  • An apostille is an internationally standardized certification that verifies the authenticity of a document for use in countries that recognize this form of legalization. The apostille stamp is affixed to both original documents and certified copies. Once applied, the apostille eliminates the need for any further certification or legalization, and it is officially recognized by all authorities in countries party to the Hague Apostille Convention of 1961. An apostille may not be required if there are bilateral agreements, treaties, or legal provisions that exempt or simplify the legalization process between the issuing and receiving countries.
  • Consular legalization of a document is the procedure used to verify the authenticity of official documents for use in countries that are not parties to the 1961 Hague Apostille Convention — meaning the apostille stamp is not accepted there. The purpose of this process is to confirm that the document was indeed issued by a competent authority in the country of origin and is therefore legally valid and recognizable in the foreign country where it will be presented. This typically involves a multi-step verification: Notarization (if required) — to confirm signatures or copies. Certification by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (or equivalent) of the issuing country. Legalization by the consulate or embassy of the destination country located in the issuing country. Only after all these steps is the document considered legally valid for official use abroad. Consular legalization is more time-consuming and complex than obtaining an apostille, but it remains essential for countries such as the UAE, Egypt, and others outside the Hague Convention system.
  • No, a notarized translation cannot be completed without the original document or a certified copy verified by an authorized body. This requirement exists because the notary public must: Verify the authenticity of the source document, Confirm that the translation accurately reflects the content of the original, Legally certify that the translator’s signature and the translation itself are genuine — which is only possible after examining the original or its officially certified counterpart.
  • Yes, we conclude contracts with every client. For individuals (private clients), we use a public offer agreement that outlines all terms of cooperation. Our contracts are customized and include details such as scope of work, deadlines, pricing, confidentiality, intellectual property rights, and warranty obligations. We strive to make the contracting process simple and transparent, and we are happy to discuss your specific requirements and prepare a tailored agreement at the earliest possible time.
