Legalization at the Vietnamese Embassy

To use Belarus-issued documents officially in Vietnam, you must have them legalised. Legalisation confirms the authenticity and legal force of the papers, ensuring they are recognised by Vietnamese authorities and organisations. In the Republic of Belarus this is done through the Embassy of Vietnam in Minsk.

What is document legalisation?
Legalisation is the process of certifying the signatures, seals and stamps on documents issued in one country so that they are accepted as genuine in another. Vietnam, like many countries, requires this step before foreign documents can be used on its territory.

Documents that must be legalised

  • Educational records (diplomas, transcripts, school certificates)
  • Civil-status certificates (birth, marriage, divorce)
  • Notarial and legal documents

Legalisation procedure at the Embassy of Vietnam in Minsk

  1. Prepare the documents
    Have each document pre-certified by the competent Belarusian authority (e.g. Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Education, registry office, notary, etc.).

  2. Submit to the embassy
    Bring or send the pre-certified documents to the Consular Section of the Embassy of Vietnam in Minsk.

  3. Pay the consular fee
    A fee is charged for each document; confirm the exact amount and payment method with the embassy.

  4. Collect legalised documents
    After verification the embassy affixes its official stamp, completing the legalisation.
